What the directory is

Manchester Locals is a free, editorially curated directory of home-service trades in Greater Manchester. No business pays to be listed, and no listing is advertising sold by us. The checks behind the "Verified" label are published in full on How we verify.

What we don't promise

We do not endorse, recommend or guarantee any listed business, their workmanship, pricing, insurance or availability. "Verified" means only that the specific checks shown on a listing were made on the date shown. Any contract for work is between you and the business; carry out your own checks before engaging anyone, especially for regulated work such as gas and electrics.

Accuracy and removal

We try to keep listings accurate, and we correct or remove them promptly when told — see remove my listing. If you believe anything on this site is wrong or misleading, contact us and we will review it.

Intellectual property

The site's original text, design and illustrations belong to Own the Patch. Business names and marks belong to their owners and appear only to identify the businesses concerned.

Liability

The site is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we accept no liability for loss arising from use of the site or from work carried out by any listed business. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
